THE SCRAMBLE BAMBLE

This
is an event that has become a tradition on the sketch
festival circuit. Seattle invented it. They call it
“PUSH”. We copied it. We call it
“Scramble Bamble”. Chicago copied us. They call
it “The Sketch-U-Bator”. New York re-titled it
"Craptacular". That’s all fascinating to be sure, but
what is it?
The Scramble Bamble is basically a sketch talent show.
It’s a comedy free-for-all (which is why we made it
free to attend). It is an opportunity for seasoned or
aspiring sketch comics to perform in front of their peers
without the pressure of a full show. Attending sketch
comics are encouraged to team-up with comics from other
troupes and perform all-new material. It’s also been
a chance for performers to put up a sketch they maybe
didn’t get a chance to do in their regular time-slot.
Ok. The real reason for The Scramble Bamble is that we
comedians are not content with the attention we get during
our regular performances. We need even MORE attention.
It’s a chance for us to have a few drinks and jump up
and down, yelling “LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!”.
It’s a party. And everyone is
invited.
